I am looking for a recommendation for 1 book to get me familiar with the Flash environment and developing RIA in Flash. I simply don't have the time to read 10 books;) My background is 13+ years as a software developer and have been a part time professional photographer for event longer, so I am not concerned with learning the ActionScript, I figure that will all fall into place once I understand the Flash environment, and the general thought process of a designer. The other two topics that are very important to me that I would like to understand in detail sooner rather then later is controlling the theme via CSS and internationalization. I would recommend Learning ActionScript 3.0 ‚Äì By Rich Shupe, Zevan Rosser. That willh elp you with picking up AS3. If you simply need to learn the Flash IDE, I recommend going through the tutorials that come with the program and would also recommend trying the tutorials at Lynda.com, they’re quite good.
